MyRestaurant is a queue management platform for restaurants. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to protecting the privacy of both restaurant owners and their customers.

1. Who We Are

MyRestaurant is operated by Aadesh Dhone, based in India. We provide a SaaS queue management solution for restaurants via a mobile app (for restaurant owners) and a web app (for customers).

2. What Data We Collect

A. Restaurant Owners (App Users)

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate the queue management service
To send OTP verification emails during signup
To send push notifications when your table is ready (customers only, with permission)
To process subscription payments via Razorpay
To generate daily analytics for restaurant owners
To improve the app based on usage patterns
To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform:

5. Data Retention

Owner accounts — retained until you delete your account
Customer queue data — retained for 90 days for analytics, then anonymised
Push subscriptions — deleted when customer leaves the queue
Payment records — retained as required by Indian financial regulations

6. Security

All passwords are hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
JWT tokens with short expiry for authentication
Rate limiting on all API endpoints to prevent abuse
Row-level security on our database
Input sanitization to prevent injection attacks

7. Push Notifications

Customers can optionally enable push notifications to be alerted when their table is ready. This requires explicit browser permission. Notification subscriptions are:

Linked only to the specific queue token
Automatically removed when the customer leaves the queue
Never used for marketing purposes

8. Children's Privacy

MyRestaurant is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Your Rights

Access — request a copy of your personal data
Correction — update incorrect information via the app settings
Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
Withdrawal — withdraw push notification permission at any time via browser settings

10. Cookies

The customer web app uses localStorage (not cookies) to remember your active queue token so you don't lose your place if you refresh the page. No tracking cookies are used.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
